When I work with clients I can tell the six weeks (usually) from the date of arrest to the court date can be a stressful time. The waiting is extruciating for them. This is a good time to be proactive. You can get reports, videos, etc. We prepare our clients personal information so the judge and prosecution will know more about our clients than a booking photo or an arrest report. Finally, we have our clients do programs or other acts that assist them in getting the best resoltuion.
The goal is for the client not to be charged (see above). It does not happen often in DUI cases, but it is a goal to begin with. The method gets someone the best resolution possible.
