More facts are unfolding about Justin Bieber’s DUI. The prosecutors offered Bieber a deal they often give to first-time DUI offenders … it includes community service, an alcohol ed course and random drug testing. The defense has rejected the deal. In cases like this the prosecution digs its heels in giving someone of note nothing more…or nothing less than the charge.
There is no doubt the defense team has a substantial war chest to work from. Resources no doubt help an individual’s case. First, you are able to obtain investigations into so many minute details. These unearthed details can help sway the prosecution from deviation of their standard sentence.
Second, resources allow someone to get a tailor made sentence. For example, Justin Bieber can likely get one on one counseling from an alcohol therapist of note coming to him. The court would no doubt consider these one on one meetings over an AA meeting. Justin Bieber can likely start a non-profit to give himself community service. Heck, he can attend a party and that would likely constitute non-profit work.
A shrewd attorney can make a very favorable sentence terms with those resources. The defense has no reason not to explore this because the DUI charges are so standard. The cost/benefit analysis tells anyone in a similar situation do anything possible to reduce the charge.
Bottom line…The prosecution will dig its heels in. The defense can easily set this for trial and make the prosecution jump through a mighty tough hoop.
Below is the current status of Bieber’s case….
Justin Bieber will REJECT the plea deal prosecutors in his Miami Beach DUI case have offered … and a big reason is because he doesn’t want random drug testing.
TMZ broke the story … prosecutors offered Bieber a deal they often give to first-time DUI offenders … it includes community service, an alcohol ed course and random drug testing.
Sources connected to Bieber tell TMZ … there are several reasons they aren’t buying what prosecutors are selling. First, there are huge problems with the case — they believe the cop lied when he said Bieber reeked of booze (he only blew a .014), and he was also lying about observing Bieber drag race — the GPS device registered a very reasonable 27 MPH.
But the bigger issue is this — our sources say Bieber will NOT accept any plea that has probation … where the judge can throw the book at him if he screws up.
In particular there’s NO WAY Bieber will agree to random drug testing. Fact is … he has a problem with weed and sizzurp. If you don’t understand his worry, just remember Lindsay Lohan, who became a habitual probation offender for more than 7 years.
Also, we’re told Justin will not accept an alcohol ed course as part of a plea deal, because he’d become a spectacle.
We’re told Bieber is open to a plea … but not this one.

The Miami Beach cop who says he saw Justin Bieber drag racing before his DUI arrest may have been caught in a BIG FAT LIE … because the GPS results from the cop’s car shows normal speed.
TMZ has obtained the GPS readout during the 4 AM hour on January 23. Bieber was stopped at 4:11 AM. The cop claims he saw Bieber drag racing rapper Khalil at speeds between 55 and 60.
Now here’s the problem. According to the GPS readout on the cop car … it was going 11 MPH at the 2600 block of Pine Tree Dr. … which is where the cop says he first spotted the singer in the Lambo.
The cop accelerated from 11 to 31 MPH in a single block but stayed between 30 and 40 for 3 blocks.
The GPS readout shows the cop car accelerated to 46 and then 49 … but that’s the FASTEST it went.
Now this is significant … at the 3700 block of Pine Tree … the cop car had slowed down to 31 MPH. This street is critical because according to the cop it was smack in the middle of the drag race. And get this … we already broke the story that Bieber’s GPS shows he was going 27 MPH on that block.
So the question … where the hell is the drag race? Remember, the other cop on scene may have lied about smelling alcohol on Bieber’s breath … fact is, the singer registered a .014.
The GPS makes the case against Bieber VERY shaky because it calls the arresting officer’s credibility into question. We’re told Khalil’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, is going to attack the cop’s credibility. Khalil was also busted for DUI.
