Watching what you drink…San Diego Police seek suspect in sexual assault of an SDSU student

On Behalf of | Apr 26, 2014 | Firm News |

You have to have faith when accepting a drink.  I hope the girl is being truthful about just drinking water.  It is not bad to be drinking alcohol…it is college.

However, there is more and more drinks that can be “spiked”.  I had a recent case where a girl agreed to one beer.  The timing of the events had it to where one beer at most was ingested.  We found out later on the party she was at had “Palcohol“ or powdered alcohol as well as Dixie Elixir, which is a cannabis drink.  The one beer actually had the punch of at least four drinks.

Moral of the story….watch what you drink. be safe.

Two men were detained and a third man got away early today following a short pursuit in Kearny Mesa stemming from the apparent drugging and sexual assault of a female San Diego State student, police said.

The woman told officers she awoke at the Residence Inn on Kearny Mesa Road early today to find a strange man standing over her, according to San Diego police.

She did not know how she got there but said she had attended a college party earlier and believed her drink may have been spiked because she had only been drinking water, police said.

Shortly after the woman called police, officers responded to the hotel and briefly pursued a vehicle with three men inside. Two of the men were detained in the 8200 block of Mercury Court and a third got away on foot, police said.

The outstanding suspect was described as black, 19-21 years old, with braided hair. He was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and dark pants, police said.
